1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and your booking of hypnotherapy sessions with me, Derek Vorster, trading as Clear Horizon Hypnotherapy ("Clear Horizon", "I", "me"), based in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. By booking a session or using this website, you agree to these terms.
2. Nature of Hypnotherapy Services
I practise as a certified hypnotherapist on a non-medical basis. Hypnotherapy sessions are not a substitute for medical or psychological diagnosis, treatment, or advice. I do not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure any medical or mental health condition. If you have an underlying medical or psychological condition, please consult an appropriately registered healthcare professional, either instead of or alongside hypnotherapy sessions.
3. Bookings & Payment
Sessions are booked online through my booking system or by contacting me directly. Payment terms, session fees, and accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. Full payment (or an agreed deposit) may be required to secure your session slot.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
I ask that you give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed sessions ("no-shows") may be subject to a cancellation fee, at my discretion. I will always try to find a workable solution if something genuinely unexpected comes up.
5. Your Responsibilities
You confirm that the information you provide to me, including any relevant health information, is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for informing me of any medical or psychological condition, medication, or other factor that may be relevant to your sessions.
6. No Guarantee of Outcome
Hypnotherapy outcomes vary from person to person, and I cannot guarantee specific results. I will always be upfront with you about what a realistic process looks like for your situation, but the effectiveness of hypnotherapy depends on many factors outside my control.
7. Confidentiality
What you discuss with me during sessions is treated as confidential. I will not share information about you or your sessions with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or where there is a genuine risk of harm to you or someone else.
8. Online Sessions
Where sessions take place online, you are responsible for ensuring you have a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection. Online sessions are subject to the same confidentiality principles as in-person sessions, though I cannot control the security of your own device or connection.
9. Website Use & Intellectual Property
The content on this website, including text, images, and logos, belongs to Clear Horizon Hypnotherapy unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or attendance at a session. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.
11. Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of this website or booking of sessions after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
